Some thoughts on Portugals loss to France:
- France sucks
- Zidane is good, don’t get me wrong, but I get tired of the constant “The great Zidane” comments. Its like commentators get on this kick where they can talk about nothing more than one thing. And in this last game I think that Maniche played better than Lord Zidi
- With 15 minutes left Portugal quite. I mean, they still played hard, but they stoped believing that they could score and instead tried to just get a penalty or free kick.
- Figo shouldn’t have been starting.
- I’m pretty sure that I wouldn’t like Cristiano Ronaldo in person, but as a player, he’s amazing. Duh.
- That penalty was a joke. The whole game was rough, they were letting the players play physical…and then the ref chose to decide the game with a penalty.
- Portugal should have won, at least they’re 3rd or 4th best in the world I guess.
- 4 more years.

1. I hate France, but there is a very, teeny, tiny part of me that is happy for Zidane that he made it all the way to the final for his very last game of his career. (as long as he stays retired this time) But in no way am I happy that he had to beat Portugal to do it.2. Meniche is awesome. Very much of a surprise this WC.3. Figo should have subbed in to be fresh when the pressure was on for them to score.4. The ref called the penalty, which was weak, but a penalty nonetheless… but he should have compensated like refs usually do in big games like this. There was a moment when Cristiano Ronaldo looked like he was pushed from behind in the goal box going for a header, that could have been called, even though the replay showed it wasn't a penalty. it definately looked like it, the ref should have compensated with that giving Portugal a penalty kick.5. I'm pretty sure I like Cristiano Ronaldo on and off the field.6. Portugal should have won, I agree.7. the third place game is the stupidest game ever invented. Who even cares if they are 3rd or 4th…
portugal obviously dominated the game . . . and effing france still came out on top.
