Please don't hate me

What would it take?
Ok, here’s the situation. You’re in your home with your pet dog and cat when a giant blizzard suddenly and without warning hits your city. You’re locked in your home for days, weeks, even months.
You’ve eaten all of your food and are now beginning to ration the canned cat food (we all know that that stuff looks delicious). For some strange reason your water lines don’t freeze over. It doesn’t make sense, but you accept it as fate.
No food, no end in sight, cat food is almost gone…at what point do you eat your dog and cat? What would it take for us to eat our pets? Would they have to die first? Would you kill them so as to provide food for your family? I guess the question is not ‘what will it take for you to eat your pet’, but rather ‘how far will you go to provide for your family?’
At some point aren’t we obligated to eat our animals? Doesn’t duty and the will to live require us to eat our pets?
Sound off, tell me your thoughts. What would it take for you to eat Mittens, or Lucy, or Milo? How far will you go to take care of the ones you love, the human beings that you love?

  1. i'm just glad i don't have any pets . . . so i'll never have to eat them . . .besides if we got so hungry, my pet might eat me before i have the courage to eat it anyway . . .

  2. If I have water to drink, then I could be fine until the Spring came and thawed us out (40 days is how long someone can live without food if they have water). I would eat clothes and papers and houseplants long before I would eat my pet. I heard drywall is mighty tasty . . . mmmmmm, there's cotton candy behind it!

  3. I totaly think that a dog T-bone would be much better than dry wall. Especially if I planned ahead and saved my A1 for that exact moment.

  4. rember that time that woman tried to kill herself so her dog ate her face and then scientists gave her a face transplant? those were good times. You didn't eat the cat, did you… cause I think that your disabled do might be a more wise first choice.

  5. umm I know I'm late but I honeslty think we should end world hunger and pet overpopulation in one swift motion of the butcher's knife.I would eat my dogs and my betta if I had too but I also think its ok to eat people if you get really hungry mostly i think dead stuff is good to eat. But I doubt I'll have a donner moment anytime soon…
